The Golden Anniversary (50th anniversary) between Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik, is marked by the release of a new 500 kroner commemorative Silver coin.
This release marks the 13th commemorative coin under Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, starting with her ascendance to the throne in 1972.

The obverse of the coin features a portrait of the royal couple facing one another. It is only the second commemorative coin in which her majesty is not seen in profile.
The detail is pretty good, and it really stands out on the large Silver Coin.
The reverse of the coin shows a joint monogram of Her Majesty and His Royal Highness. Above them are the dates of the wedding and the anniversary.
The coin is designed and sculpted by Medallist Henrik Wiberg
The rim: Features the text H.M. Dronningen og H.K.H. Prinsen (HM the Queen and HRH the Prince) separated by a hearth.
